500 Wishes for Public Art Project

Sarah Bonam, Project Manager for “Letting in the Light” is keen for local residents to be involved in collecting wishes to be sealed into a piece of public art, which is due to be installed at Goldendale in the next couple of months.

Sarah has contacted the S.A.G.E. website in hope that local residents can complete the remaining 500 messages to go inside this new community sculpture.

The “180,000 piece of artwork designed by Nottingham based artist Wolfgang Buttress is set to dominate the Stoke on Trent skyline; the 20 metre (65ft) high steel sculpture, known as Golden will be installed on the old Goldendale East Steel Works in the Chatterley Valley.

    Hi Linda,
The best person to contact would be Liz Salt, Nash Peake Presidents Association on 01782 812057 who could either give you the advice or she would pass you on to the lady who has been at the centre of the project named Megan Ryan.
    Hope this helps.
