A “Fun Day” was had by all

S.A.G.E. residents association held it’s Annual Goldenhill Community “Fun Day” on Saturday 9th August.

Joan Walley M.P. opened the event by announcing this would be her final year representing constituents in the north of the city. The M.P. said how proud and privileged she was to have been asked to do the honours again, since opening the first event back in 2007.

Tom Simpson, Secretary, S.A.G.E. thanked Joan on behalf of residents for caring and looking after her constituents in Stoke North whilst being their M.P.

The day yet again proved to be a success whilst providing many activities, including Paul Warwick’s Fair, food, stalls, dancers and much much more to mention.

This day highlights how important it is to bring the community together, especially when having the very young to those who are a little bit older.

The weather again proved to be on our side with loads of sunshine, but unfortunately Councillor Martin Garner and Jason Owen, S.A.G.E. Committee Member had to settle for the wet stuff, due to them raising funds by appearing in the wet sponge stocks.

Thank you everyone for attending the event and supporting S.A.G.E.
