An eight year old boy was hit by a vehicle on a pedestrian crossing outside McDonald’s in Sandyford.
It was said the young boy was in collision with a silver or grey van when the lights were on red, and the vehicle in question failed to stop after the accident.
The injured boy suffered minor injuries after being taken to the Royal Stoke University Hospital, but the situation could have been much worse after a fatality at the location sadly happened a few years ago.
Staffordshire Police are asking anyone with information to call 101 quoting incident number 645 of February 29. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
