Sandyford Says Goodbye to Former School Teacher Mary Bennett

Sandyford Says goodbye to Mary Bennett who was a former school teacher, and a previous Secretary of Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (SAGE) who sadly passed away on Thursday 27th May.

Mary who was a school teacher at Hollywall Lane, which is now the newly named Star Academy taught many children in the Sandyford & Goldenhill area as well as being the first secretary of SAGE when it was formed back in 1999.

Mary was well known for her caring attitude towards looking after the environment, whether it was keeping the area clean and tidy to encouraging green space growth.

Family, friends and neighbours will sadly miss the lady who has given so much to the community that she cared for over her many years of being a Sandyford resident.
