Staffordshire Fire Service Takes Industrial Action

Further to the dispute between Central Government and the Fire Brigades Union; Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service is urging people to take extra care on the roads and to be extra vigilant in the home and in business premises, following the announcement by the Fire Brigade Union that its members will take industrial action on 25th September 2013 between 12.00 midnight and 4.00 p.m.

Staffordshire Fire & Rescue Service has contingency plans in place to provide emergency response and is working hard to keep people safe during this time.

Householders should take extra care, it is important to have working smoke alarms and that in the event of a fire the essential message is GET OUT, STAY OUT AND CALL 999 – you will get an emergency response.
