Residents Association Gets Media Cover Support for Community Centre
on: May 12, 2017, 23:05

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association has gained support from “The Sentinel” to promote use of Goldenhill Community Centre by means of people hiring the hall for all occasions.

Since it was reported last year that the community centre was to close, it meant that people would not entertain booking the venue in case of forced cancellation, and when parties etc. had already been booked, there was increased activity to cancel and hire other venues nearby.

It has been confirmed by Stoke on Trent City Council’s Councillors Lee Wanger and Randy Conteh that rumours to close the centre are untrue, and they have no plans to close Goldenhill Community Hall.

It is true that Stoke on Trent City Council needs to make savings to keep the centre more viable, and that is the position of the council’s Overview & Scrutiny Committee Chaired by Councillor Wanger to make recommendation to the council’s cabinet of a way forward to financially stableise the venue.

Since word has got around that the community centre is now open for business, it has been reported that people are again beginning to book the hall.

Goldenhill Community Centre is a great place to hold all types of events, whether it is weddings, birthday parties, dances or any other club activities then this is the place for you.

The centre features a dance hall setting, public bar area, self-contained kitchen as well as a relaxing lounge area, so why not hire Goldenhill Community Centre on 01782 782045 clearly leaving your name and contact telephone number.
