Combat Data Poverty at Stoke on Trent Libaries
on: June 26, 2022, 17:08

Stoke-on-Trent libraries have teamed up with the Good Things Foundation to help combat data poverty.

The National Databank scheme has recently been rolled out across all six library sites across the city, giving members of the library the opportunity to gain access to data SIM cards which can be used on various devices including mobile phones and tablets.

Anyone over the age of 18 from a low-income household with limited access to the internet at home can apply, with SIM cards available in Three, O2 and Vodafone networks. Data can be issued for 1-6 months with the opportunity to refresh for a further 6 months.

The project will be available to support people for up to 12 months.

If you would like to know more about National Databank please visit your local Stoke on Trent library. For further information follow the link https://www.stoke.gov.uk/info/20036/libraries
