Churchill China unveiled a 22% rise in half-year profits this year and this is very good news for the Sandyford tableware manufacturer.

The Sentinel reported that the company posted pre-tax profits of £841,000 for the six months to the end of June, up from £689,000 during the same period last year.
Mr Roper, Chief Executive at Churchill China reported that employee numbers have remained steady over the past six months and employs around 520 people at its Marlborough Pottery headquarters based in Sandyford. Sandyford and Goldenhill Residents Association (S.A.G.E.) believe that this is good news for the area, especially in these uncertain economic times.
