The August Bank Holiday Wickes “Sausage Sizzle Event” proved to be a great success at the Sandyford, Tunstall Store, even though the damp weather turned out to be a little unkind on the day.
The day attracted a number of local visitors as well as shoppers joining in on the activity.
Staffordshire Fire & Rescue came along with a fire engine, the hot food van provided enjoyable sausage sizzles as well as an ice cream van selling ice creams for those who wanted something a little sweeter.
Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association members held stalls for selling “yummy cakes” DVD’s and gifts.
Craig Simpson, S.A.G.E. committee member provided music for the occasion through “Dance Music Live” which kept the day up beat.
The event raised over £200, which is being split between three Sandyford/Goldenhill Primary Schools and S.A.G.E.
A special thank you also goes out to the staff team at Wickes for being helpful and supportive to volunteers who turned up on the day.
Well Done Everyone!
