Work has begun to put in place new public footpaths and bridleways in Sandyford. The City Council has agreed to better develop the public right of way network to link the Sandyford leg in line with the rest.
Work has already started at the Ridge Road entrance in Sandyford where the main working hub is to be situated. Residents and walking enthusiasts are reminded that this entrance is closed until the project is completed sometime in August.
Once completed the public right of way will link Sandyford with the rest of the city’s walkways, and will provide a better walking surface as well as taking in much loved views of Mow Cop Castle and the Church at Newchapel.
