Sandyford High Street in day’s gone by. The picture shows a Cleveland Petrol Station to the left, top of the picture showing Sandyford Co-op on the corner of Broadfield Road, and to the right Salt & Riley’s Building Yard.
How times have changed from the quiet village of Sandyford to now being a major crossroads of the A50 and A527, facilitating many shops and businesses as well as a fire station and well known shops and fast food restaurants.
People rarely like change, especially resident’s who have lived in the area for many years, although the positives can be that many people have gained employment through the redevelopment of the area.
