Pedestrian Crossing Flood Problem

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association has reported a flood problem to Council Highways at the traffic light controlled pedestrian crossing near Sandyford Service Station (top of James Brindley Way).

Residents say that when it rains a large pool of water covers the pavement entrance from the road, and the only way to exit is to either walk through the water or jump over it, which is sometimes dangerous, especially for the elderly or disabled.

Council Highways have responded to the residents association, and said they have now assessed our enquiry and have created a job which will be scheduled to our repair crews shortly.
