Local community comes together to support the many families who have been forced to leave their properties for their own safety in Sandy Road, Sandyford.
Councillor Chandra Kanneganti, Members of Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association, Council Leader Jane Ashworth and Amanda Hewitt Representing David Williams M.P. have all visited the affected area as well as Goldenhill Community Centre where people have made donations to support those residents who need it.
It is believed the fire was caused by a portable BBQ, but this is yet to be confirmed.
Residents affected have been placed in temporary accommodation by Stoke on Trent City Council, and along with them, local residents, residents association, politicians and numerous businesses in the area are offering much needed support to everyone who requires it.
