Thursday 27th November, High Street will be fully closed to traffic from Sandyford’s KFC roundabout to Tunstall’s Haymarket between 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.

A further road closure will take place on Monday 1st December, when High Street will be fully closed to traffic from Sandyford’s KFC roundabout to Tunstall’s Haymarket between 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.

The reason for extensive roadworks is to patch and repair potholes, as well as iron works which involve drains and manholes. The work also includes replacing road markings throughout the road network as well.

The contractor maintains that access to properties and estates will be restricted due to extensive road works taking place, although realising the closing of a major road network will inconvenience many drivers who use the A50, but said it will do its best to keep disruption to a minimum.

Councillor Chandra Kanneganti and Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association believe once the road works are completed, especially when repairing the many potholes that it will make driving through our area a better experience for all concerned.
