Joan Walley M.P. has reported that she will not be standing for the Labour Party at the 2015 General Election and said now is the time “to hang up my boots.”
Joan has been the Member of Parliament for Stoke on Trent North since 1987 and has worked tirelessly for her constituents during her time in office.
Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (S.A.G.E.) has always had the full support from Joan no matter what the problem is, and she has always proved to be approachable to the many people she represents in her constituency.
The M.P. is always going to be a hard act to follow but at least a bench mark has been set for whoever it is who takes her place in Stoke on Trent North.
