A planning application to install four floodlights and a canopy to an existing portacabin at Goldenhill Working Mens Club has been withdrawn by the applicant.
The Working Mens Club car park where a car wash facility operates has been an issue with local people for some time, residents say the recent application has only added to their ongoing concerns.
Residents recent opposition to the application along with support from Councillor Martin Garner was in one particular area of having unacceptable light pollution intruding inside their properties.
