A trip to Chester Zoo has inspired year 4 children at St Joseph’s Catholic Academy, Goldenhill to write poetry about their experiences with animals.
The children along with pupils from other year’s at the school have entered their poems in “The Sentinel’s Too Write Competition.”
Rebecca Mellor the year 4 teacher said, for their poems, we wanted to get into the mind-set of the animals to decide on whether they are happy or not living at the zoo.
Well Done! to all the children who have taken the time to write their piece of poetry, and wish them well for entering into The Sentinel’s competition.
If anyone would like to share some family friendly poems to the website then please add them to this article in the usual way.
