Lorry Repeatedly Rams House Front

Police in Stoke-on-Trent have launched an investigation after a house was damaged in a targeted attack in the early hours on Thursday morning. Residents in Broadfield Rd, Sandyford were awoken by noise of a stolen lorry being used to repeatedly ram into a house on the street at around 1:35 am this morning (5 November 2015). Witnesses and CCTV coverage says the stolen vehicle repeatedly rammed into the property before making off. A number of vehicles in the street were also damaged.

The stolen lorry was found within a few minutes in Cotton Road and a forensic examination of the lorry and the house will take place this morning. It is believed that those involved made off in other vehicles immediately after the incident and none of the occupants of the house have reported any injury. Chief Inspector Adrian Roberts, Commander of the Stoke North Local Policing Team said “This was a very targeted attack, we believe the house and it’s occupants were specifically targeted as part of an ongoing dispute. Sadly this isn’t the first type of incident in this area and a detailed investigation is now underway. I urge anyone with information to speak to the police or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. My local policing team will be conducting highly visible patrols in the area to speak to local residents.”

Anyone with information is urged to call Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident 34 of 5th November.
