Young Offenders, McDonald’s & Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (S.A.G.E.) have worked together to bring to an end an eyesore that was unpopular with local residents who live in the Shelford Road area of Sandyford.
Young offenders and the staffing team were asked by S.A.G.E. to do copious amounts of groundwork to remove shrubbery and weeds that were growing out of control and making the area look a mess.
After many weeks of hard working, McDonald’s promptly arranged to have the plot turfed with grass, which was completed at the weekend.
This has been a project where residents, business and young offenders have all come together to better the area we live in, and well done to everyone concerned, especially giving a big thank you to the young people and staff from the youth offending service for making this happen.
