St John’s Church in Goldenhill has been placed on the property market to be sold by “rightmove” estate agents.
The property is a Grade 2 listed disused church building constructed around 1840.
Residents have always had concerns in regards to what will happen to the church. Previous suggestions were that the building was going to be taken over by another Christian Faith, along with other rumours that it was going to be used as a warehouse.
St John’s Church, which can be seen for miles across Stoke on Trent, and many parts of Staffordshire is a recognised focal point, and residents would want to make sure the building is maintained to sustain it’s long term future.
