Ken Holmes of Ridge Road Who Sadly Passed Away Today

It is unfortunate to report after a short illness due to a fall at his Ridge Road home that Ken sadly passed away this morning at the Royal Stoke Hospital.

Ken Holmes who was born at his Sandyford home lived at the address all of his life, and it is not many people who can say that, especially when people move house so regularly these days.

Ken was always seen by his family, friends and neighbours as a caring and considerate man who would do anything for anybody, whether it was doing errands for those less fortunate than himself; to even collecting money off neighbours to buy flowers or to donate to good causes when Ridge Road neighbours sadly passed on.

Ken’s Christianity always saw him through difficult times, especially when losing his wife and son, and his compassion to regularly attend St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Goldenhill was something that he loved and believed was the right thing to do.

Ken Holmes was a lovely man to know, and a neighbour that everybody would have liked to have had living next door to them.

God Bless you Ken, you will be sadly missed by everyone who knew you!
