Deputy Staffordshire Commissioner Dave Evans joined local children for a trial session at Hitmix radio station recently as part of this year’s Staffordshire Space programme.
Space is funded by the Staffordshire Commissioner for Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime Ben Adams and brings together public, voluntary and private sector organisations to provide activities for children across Staffordshire in the school holidays.
Hitmix Radio, located in Alsagers Bank, Newcastle-under-Lyme, has offered free sessions to children over the summer where they are given the opportunity to record their own advertisement and tour the studio.
The Staffordshire Space programme is open to 8–17-year-olds and aims to provide memorable experiences for many, while diverting some away from potential involvement in low-level crime and anti-social behaviour.
Space 2024 will run until 30 August. To book your child onto an activity, visit: https://staffordshirespace.uk/
