David Williams MP has written to the Leader of the Council, Jane Ashworth, requesting that Stoke-on-Trent City Council holds targeted drop-in sessions in areas like Sandyford.
The MP believes that in-person consultations, on the ground and in the community, will help the local authority best understand residents views.
David Williams emphasises –“I do not believe development should proceed at any cost. It must be done in the right way – serving the best interests of local residents and contributing positively to the wider community.”
He said he hopes that “the final Local Plan will be a real blueprint for success: reviving our town centres, restoring buildings that have been left to rot, and regenerating empty brownfield sites that have blighted our communities for decades.”
