Tonight, Tuesday 18th November the High Street will be fully closed to traffic from Sandyford’s KFC roundabout to Goldenhill’s Woodstock Street/Kidsgrove Road between 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.
The contractor maintains that access to properties and estates will be restricted due to extensive road works taking place.
The main roadwork repairs tonight will be taking place between Drummond Street and Sandyford’s KFC roundabout, although further roadworks could possibly take place from Drummond Street/Goldenhill Community Centre to Goldenhill’s Woodstock Street/Kidsgrove Road.
Please Note! Due to road works taking place on Sandyford High Street tonight that McDonald’s will not be open for business between 8.00 p.m. & 2.00 a.m. The store will reopen for business tomorrow Wednesday 19th November from 7.00 a.m. McDonald’s have advised there are alternative restaurants to visit, which are their Chesterton Dimsdale and Festival Park locations.
Councillor Chandra Kanneganti and Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association understand the frustration of residents and motorists using the busy A50 when road repairs take place, but we trust in the longer period that having important road repairs actioned will benefit all concerned.
