Tonight, THURSDAY 20th NOVEMBER the High Street will be fully closed to traffic from Sandyford’s KFC roundabout to Goldenhill’s Woodstock Street/Kidsgrove Road between 8.00 p.m. and 6.00 a.m.
Roadworks taking place tonight will involve drain and manhole repairs across the stretch of road. The contractor has advised that due to freezing weather conditions that no tarmac patching to repair potholes will take place, although if weather conditions improve Friday evening into Saturday morning then work could take place meaning further closure to the road.
The residents association can confirm they have been advised that to complete the High Street road improvements will now be extended to cover Thursday and Friday only of next week, which means the road closure on those day’s should take place.
The contractor advised that access to properties and estates will continue whilst the work is being carried out, although delays are possible and alternative routes will be made available during the work period.
