A man has been jailed after he admitted stealing more than £500-worth of meat from two shops in Stoke-on-Trent.
Nathan Campbell, 36, of Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to 12 weeks imprisonment at North Staffordshire Justice Centre on Wednesday (30 July) after he pleaded guilty to nine counts of theft from a shop.
Between Monday 21 April and Monday 28 July, Campbell stole £527-worth of beef joints, steaks and lamb legs from Asda and Staffordshire Meat Packers.
He also stole razors worth £165 from Boots on Monday 28 April.
Campbell has also been handed a criminal behaviour order (CBO) which prevents him from entering six stores across Stoke-on-Trent and Leek for the next three years.
Sergeant Rob Emanuel, of our Stoke-on-Trent north local policing team (LPT) who covers Sandyford & Goldenhill said: “We do not underestimate the impact that theft has upon local businesses and communities.
“This is why the CBO is so important as well as a sentencing; we are committed to ensuring the offenders do not target local businesses upon release.”

For that get away holiday it is suggested you make a checklist to ensure you’ve got everything you need.
Here are some important things to consider when making your checklist:
- Whether anyone in your group has any medical needs. You’ll need to make sure they have the right amount of medication with them for the trip
- If you’re looking for a travel insurance policy, make sure you’ve taken out a travel insurance policy that suits your needs
- Researching what the weather will be like in your chosen destination and planning accordingly. Will you need to pack extra layers or extra suncream? – Or both?
- Make sure you keep all your booking references in one place, saved to your phone or printed out
