Two Off-Road Bikes Seized in Goldenhill

Staffordshire Police have seized two off-road bikes after they were seen being driven dangerously in Goldenhill.

Officers were called to the former Goldenhill Golf Course just after 7pm on Monday (16th June) following reports of bikes being driven across the grass.

Officers attended the scene and seized two bikes found on the golf course. The suspects made off on foot.

We are appealing for anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch. Call 101, quoting incident 765 of 16 April, or use Live Chat on our website.

To report anonymously, call Crimestoppers 0800 555 111.

As part of Operation Reclaim, we are targeting the illegal and dangerous use of two-wheeled vehicles across Staffordshire.

All month, we are using intelligence from local communities to seize nuisance vehicles including off-road bikes and e-scooters.

Market Street Gazebo Covered Stalls, ONLY £7

Market Street Gazebo Covered Stalls for just £7 at this year’s Goldenhill Fun Day on Saturday 2nd August, 12 Noon Onwards.

Please Note! Stalls are going fast, which are under cover and we provide a table and gazebo at no extra cost, which means those who book first are assured of a pitch. Unfortunately last year a number of people were turned away and 50% of the stalls are already taken.

Could you volunteer to review police powers to ensure they are being used correctly?

The Commissioner’s Independent Scrutiny Panels are looking for a diverse group of people to scrutinise Police powers including the use of stop & search, strip search and powers within custody.

Volunteers will help interrogate information and body worn video to identify issues and be involved in suggesting solutions.

Applications are now open.

Goldenhill’s Eyesore Containers Have Gone!

Eyesore containers at a local tyre business on Goldenhill High Street have now been removed, which is much to the delight of local residents.

A big thank you needs to go to Stoke on Trent City Council’s Planning Department who have overseen the removal of the containers with a time period of 28 days.

The High Street tyre business respected the decision made by the council to remove the containers, although a number of residents would like the tyres on show to go, but in defence of the company, it has to be accepted that they are a legitimate establishment wanting to earn a living.

Vandalism @ Sandyford Park, WHY?

Two benches at Sandyford Park (Behind Ridge Road) have been damaged by vandals who have no respect for others, especially when parents want to sit down and enjoy watching their children playing on a much loved playground.

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association have today reported the incident to the City Council who have agreed to reinstate the seats for everyone to enjoy again.

The residents association and your local councillor, Chandra Kanneganti would encourage anyone witnessing damage taking place to report it to Staffordshire Police on 101.
