Staffordshire Oatcakes are an important part of Stoke on Trent’s heritage, and Goldenhill Oatcakes are offering a part time shop/catering assistant position within their High Street Shop in Goldenhill.
Job Responsibilities include cooking, cleaning, packing oatcakes and customer service. Hours of Work – Friday 7.00 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. Saturday 6.00 a.m. – 1.30 p.m. Sunday 8.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon. Salary – minimum wage. For more details & to apply for the position, contact Mark Manley 01782 772441.
 Ruth Smeeth M.P. resigning as Shadow Parliamentary Private Secretary
Stoke on Trent North M.P. Ruth Smeeth who represents constituents in Sandyford & Goldenhill has resigned today as Parliamentary Private Secretary for the shadow Northern Ireland and Scotland teams. The Labour M.P. went onto say, “It’s with a heavy heart that I have just resigned”.
Ruth Smeeth’s resignation comes as the shadow cabinet confronts continuing resignations due to worries about Jeremy Corby’s leadership of the Labour Party.

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association has decided to post a new “Local Jobs Page” onto the S.A.G.E. website. The residents association is proud to say that it has positive links with local employers who together we help promote and improve the area we live in.
The “Local Jobs” page will help visitors to the site to engage in a number of ways to search for jobs and gain future employment.
The website will provide direct links to job sites and contact details of local employers. S.A.G.E. wishes job seekers visiting the website the very best of luck in seeking new employment, and that you find the service offered to be beneficial to your individual needs.
A resident of Broadfield Road, Sandyford was woken during the early hours of Sunday 12th June and went outside to see a male breaking into their car.
The male, described as a young lad wearing dark clothing and a dark cap, escaped across fields before having the chance to steal anything.
The incident occurred at 3:30am Sunday morning and anyone who can offer any further information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 212 of 12 June.
Residents are being asked to warn neighbours to be on their guard and to make sure their vehicles are parked as securely as possible at all times.
Our neighbours Tunstall North Residents Association has recently started it’s own website for their area, which covers local interests and information for their part of the city.

A cream coloured Avondale Regent caravan has been stolen from a property in Beaufighter Grove, Sandyford.
The van, which was locked and secured, was stolen by unknown means sometime overnight on Saturday 7th/Sunday 8th May and anyone with any information is asked to contact the Police on 101 quoting incident number 145 of 8th May.
