St John’s Junior School Seen In Better Days
on: September 6, 2021, 21:35

It is nice to see the former St John’s C of E Junior School in it’s hay day back in the middle of the 20th century, and not in it’s sorry state today after many years of senseless vandalism (School Pictured on the Home Page Story).

As a residents association S.A.G.E. has fought the case to either develop the site or demolish the building which is an eyesore in Goldenhill Village.

The main problem the authorities and Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association has is because the building is encompassed by St John’s Church, which keeps them both under the listed buildings act, and to develop the land has and still is a difficult one to resolve.
