Whatever you can do, do it for Dougie Mac
Douglas Macmillan Hospice is ever growing the services that it provides for patients and their families in Stoke on Trent and North Staffordshire. A vital part of offering these services is the support it receives from its team of wonderful volunteers.
Today this community of volunteers are involved in every aspect of the day to day running of the Hospice from patient care in the hospice itself and in the community; helping within the Income Generation department by volunteering at Fundraising events, working in our 19 retail shops; to various administration roles across the Hospice.
The Hospice recognises that all volunteers are individuals and have very different motivations, personal circumstances and availability and we match the opportunities we have at the hospice considering these along with their skills, quite simply –“ Whatever you can do, do it for the Dougie Mac.”
