Site cleared with a big part of the job completed
Young offenders are giving something back to the community in a project to remove an eyesore for Sandyford residents.
For a long time pictured right has been an area on Sandyford High Street adjoining McDonald’s, which has been allowed to vegetate weeds as well as out of control shrubbery that residents wanted removed.
Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association contacted the “Youth Offending Service” to ask if they could help to make the area good, which they did.
On Saturday mornings and afternoons the team has been working hard to improve the look of the area, and once completed McDonald’s have agreed to have the area turfed with grass as well as new fencing to match the rest of the site.
