A planning application has been submitted by Landstone Homes to Stoke on Trent City Council to have the “Old Church School” at Elgood Lane demolished.
The building pictured right has become a blot on the landscape, and local residents along with Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association and Councillor Martin Garner have welcomed the application to have the building removed.
The building in recent year’s has been prone to a number of arson attacks, and it is now proving very dangerous, especially when young children and teenagers are gaining access to the building.
A decision by Stoke on Trent City Council is due to be made in the next few weeks in regards to the future of the building.

Needs demolishing but can anything be done regarding the listed front of the building
Definitely needs knocking down, just something else that makes the area look run down and abandoned! May as well knock the golf course club house down too… as they’ve just let look a state
Typical council!
