Unitas vans are coming to a repair near you

During November and December, Stoke on Trent City Council are working with Kier Stoke to change the logo on all of the vehicles used by repairs staff.

This means if you need a repair to your home, the people who come to do your repair may be wearing a Kier uniform and carrying Kier ID badges, but driving a Unitas Stoke-on-Trent Ltd van.

The council wanted to tell you about this change as you may be concerned if someone come to your house in one uniform but the van belongs to a different company.

There is nothing to be worried about. The changes are being made now to make sure all the repairs vehicles are correctly marked when Unitas starts delivering the repairs service in February.

If you have any concerns about the people who come to you home to complete repairs, ask them to remain outside the property and call the repairs line on 01782 234100. Staff there will be able to confirm the identity of all of our repairs staff.

If you prefer, you can set up a password system when you report the repair. With the password system, anyone who visits your home to complete a repair will then know to give you the password that you have chosen to confirm that they are genuine.
