  • Is this next to the school

This is ridiculous, the traffic is dangerous enough and already next to impossible trying to get out on the junction across from McDonald’s! And the country road barely copes with the traffic it currently has! Potholes every other week

I don’t see how this is even getting proposed. Hollywall Lane is already carnage without the addition of a further 250-450 homes.
This would potentially result to an additional 800 cars on the already dangerous and busy lane. Most working households have 2 cars. This is absolutely ludicrous. Why not go build down the bottom on the empty JCB site. As said above the traffic on this Lane is already awful, adding more to it is not the answer. Greedy developers looking for their next buck, ramming some shoebox houses together.

I really hope it doesn’t come to anything. Surely the area doesn’t have the facilities needed – school places, and GP availability, to support all the extra people? I’ll be watching out for news of the consultation event.

  • I don’t live in the area, but know this bit of countryside well… THERE’S NO infrastructure, not enough school places, healthcare or anything else can justify this ludicrous idea… Development killing the country side one bit of concrete at a time..
