National Insurance Numbers Being Compromised

Staffordshire Police report there is an increasing number of scam calls in regards to national insurance numbers being compromised. If you receive any calls out of the blue saying that the caller claims to be from the Police then ask them for their name and collar number or extension number, then call 101 and type the extension number to verify if they are legitimate.

Please remember! If you are called out of the blue in regards to your national insurance number and askes for a fee this is a scam.
