Cocaine Dealer Jailed After Stash Found in Home

Staffordshire Police report that a cocaine dealer who was caught with an estimated £4,500-worth of drugs in his home has been jailed.

Erion Kakuli, 25, of Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, was sentenced to three-years-and-four-months behind bars at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on Wednesday (20 August) after he previously pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and possession of criminal property.

Police arrested him in June after getting reports that he had been involved in a drug deal on the Scotia Road car-park in Burslem. He was stopped on Broad Street and taken to custody for questioning.

When police searched his flat in Hanley, they found cocaine that had been sorted into individual deals, as well as £255 in cash.

The total estimated value of the drugs seized was believed to be between £3,800 and £4,500.

The police say they are continuing to act proactively against those responsible for high harm crimes in our communities, including drug supply, criminal exploitation and serious violence.

As part of Operation Target the police have arrested more than 350 suspects between June last year and June this year alone – and more will be coming.
