The Tunstall Area is currently being plagued with young people letting off fireworks in the streets and parks.

Officers are being called to incidents from around 3pm to 3am. Groups of young males aged from 11 to young adults have been seen to have very large fireworks, some of which are for professional use only, officers have seen young people holding lit fireworks in their hands, fireworks have been aimed at the attending officers as well as reports of fireworks being fired across roads and towards houses and other buildings.

We are aware that these young people are buying the fireworks from the boot of a car. It’s only a matter of time till someone gets hurt.
