It was reported at Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association Public Meeting last Thursday evening that the Kay Group who are building a new petrol station on James Brindley Way near to the KFC roundabout are the owners, developers and direct operators of Sandyford Service Station, and are hoping to be open by the end of the year.

Paul Blackmore from the company informed the meeting that the site will be BP branded, open 24 hours 365 days of the year and will start off with an open door policy throughout the night on Friday and Saturday night.

Mr Blackmore went onto say they will be having instore retailing partners Greggs and Subway on the site. The Kay Group say they will be employing 6 management positions and between 40 to 50 hourly paid jobs based on success, and that they pay over the National Living Wage, all aimed to be local residents. It was further said they will be advertising the positions through the Sandyford & Goldenhill social media pages as well as having a big banner up with contact details on how to apply for job vacancy positions.
