5 million pounds is to be spent by Stoke on Trent City Council to repair back street pavements and roads. It is said the council will be employing extra staff to carry out the much needed work.

Unfortunately at this time of year when the weather deteriorates with snow and ice, it is a certainty the streets and pavements behind the main roads will get increasingly worse.

Residents have welcomed the announcement and are looking forward to seeing some of this money being spent in Sandyford and Goldenhill.
