We have joined forces with Staffordshire Police to combat crime and antisocial behaviour across the city.
Our vision is to create a healthier, wealthier, safer, greener, cleaner and fairer city for all and a big part of this is about making people feel safe where they live and making great places.
As a council we take a zero-tolerance approach to antisocial behaviour. Our antisocial behaviour and community safety teams work across the city investigating reports you share with us and in many cases work swiftly to provide intelligence the police need to prosecute.
Report it to the City Council stoke.gov.uk/asb 01782 234234
Play equipment & goal posts at Sandyford Park are to be restored by having excess rust removed and a repaint.
The good news with persistence from the resident’s association that confirmation has been received from the Council’s Network Activities Manager to say that a supplier has been chosen to do the work.
The company chosen to refurbish the play equipment is D&N Shotblasting the company who restored the World War 1 Memorial Gate outside Goldenhill Community Centre for free.
As a resident’s association we are pleased D&N Shotblasting have been given the job because they are a company who we believe will do an excellent restoration, and have proved they care about communities, including ours.
The resident’s association has recently been updated that the work to complete the project is due to take place around late spring.
Conservative Ben Adams secured a further term as Staffordshire’s police, fire and crime commissioner. The result proved to be close with Mr Adams polling 73,500 votes, Labour’s Alastair Watson having 70,128 and Liberal Democrat Alec Sandiford coming in last with 17,666 votes.
Your Police, Fire & Rescue and Crime Commissioner is elected to act as your voice, holding the Chief Constable and Chief Fire Officer, and their services to account and making them answerable to the communities they serve.
Vote for your next Commissioner tomorrow, Thursday 2nd May.

How to protect yourself from ticket fraud: Only buy tickets from the venue’s box office, the promoter, an official agent or a well-known and reputable ticket exchange site. Avoid paying for tickets by bank transfer, especially if buying from someone unknown. Credit card or payment services such as PayPal give you a better chance of recovering the money if you become a victim of fraud. The password you use for your email account, as well as any other accounts you use to purchase tickets, should be different from all your other passwords. Use three random words to create a strong and memorable password, and enable 2-step verification (2SV).Be wary of unsolicited emails, texts or adverts offering unbelievably good deals on tickets. Is the vendor a member of Society of Ticket Agents and Retailers (STAR)? If they are, the company has signed up to their strict governing standards. STAR also offers an approved Alternative Dispute Resolution service to help customers with outstanding complaints. For more information visit star.org.uk/buy_safe.
