Police Need Your Help to Find Wreckless Bike Riders

Staffordshire Police are asking for help to identify the riders of this bike or the location this bike is being stored. It was seen riding wrecklessly on Scotia Road on the 16th of June. Members of the public reported seeing the bike in Tunstal High Street almost hitting pedestrians.

Children’s Battery Operated Motorbike Stolen

Staffordshire Police have reported that on the 15th June at 11:01am a Childs BMW, black and white battery operated motorbike was stolen from Spitfire Way (Sandyford).

The bike is valued at £100 and anyone with information who could help to get the bike returned to the owner please contact 101 or private message on Facebook / Twitter quoting serial number SP-20230615-0320 or crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Leaving Pets in Vehicles

Staffordshire Police are reminding pet owners not to leave their animals in locked vehicles without ventilation.

It is reported pets can suffer heat stroke in as little as 15 minutes, even when a window has been left open and water left for them.

When its 21 degrees outside the temperature inside the car can reach 40 degrees. Please don’t leave your pets in your vehicles during these warm temperatures we are having.

Police Are Trying To Identify Off Road Biker

Police officers in the Tunstall area are appealing for residents help to identify the rider of a bike which has been regularly seen on High Street Tunstall and Furlong Road.

The bike is a full sized off road style bike, its all black and has a number plate on the back which is described as very small and the plate is facing the sky so the VRM (Vehicle Registration Mark) can not be seen.

The rider wears a black motocross style helmet and appears to be a young adult of medium build.

No Fouling, Pick Up After Your Dog

Sandyford & Goldenhill residents are being asked to report on social media pages where dog fouling is a problem.

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association has started a campaign to address the issue and it would be useful for the committee to know where the problem areas are.

As a residents group we are attempting to clean up the area of this unacceptable behaviour by irresponsible dog owners.

Public Right of Way Issues (Sandyford)

Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association along with support from Councillor Kanneganti have raised issues with the state of public footpaths around new units along James Brindley Way (Sandyford), which were put in place by the developer.

Concerns raised have been pipes sticking up when fencing was removed along the side of the public footpath (possible trip hazard) where the developer has cut them off near to the ground, instead of completely taking them out. Further concerns have been raised by residents and the residents association about the poor state of the footpath laid down by the developer with large hardcore stone making walking along the path uncomfortable, and not to the standard which the council has laid on other parts of the public footpath.

The residents association and local councillor have been in contact with the Council’s Greenspace Manager who said he will be looking at addressing the concerns raised sometime next month.
