We are responsible for providing outpatient reception services across the Trust with a team of committed and professional staff. These are very busy areas & provide a focal point for receiving patients, visitors & staff to the hospital. You would be joining a dedicated administrative team that supports patient care within the clinical outpatient environment. The role is essential in capturing clinical activity data on a daily basis to ensure the Trust receives the appropriate financial income.

We are looking to appoint a cheerful & motivated person with great interpersonal skills & a commitment to customer service to work as an Outpatient Receptionist within the outpatient areas at the Royal Stoke Hospital.

Infrastructure around charging points has been a barrier for people considering switching to electric cars.
But from June this year, all new builds in England will have to install EV charging points. This will be a legal requirement.
The new charging points should be installed in new-build homes, new supermarkets and any other building that’s having major renovations.
The government claims that the scheme could produce up to 145,000 extra charging points each year if all goes ahead as planned.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Support Assistant to be based within the Outpatient Directorate at our Stoke site. This is a varied role involving supporting with any incoming calls to the Appointments Call Centre and booking outpatient appointments for patients in accordance with NHS national targets. Team building skills are imperative, as is the need to be self motivated with the ability to use your own initiative as and when necessary. This job also includes booking patient transport within the criteria.
The position is full time, and the rate of pay is £18,870.00 to £19,918.00 per annum.

There is a vacancy for a part time shop assistant at Sandyford Convenience Store.
Sandyford One Stop is a franchise with the support and backing of the Tesco group, and since it has recently been modernised, it gives it’s customers a new look shopping experience, and gives it’s staff a better environment to work in.
Hours of work are 16 to 20 per week, which will include evenings and weekends.
Salary qualifies to the Governments National Minimum Wage.

Staffordshire Police have received a number of catalytic converter thefts from vehicles in the Tunstall area as well as in Hanley and Middleport.
The police advise where possible to park your vehicle in a garage overnight, if this is not possible then park in an area that is well lit and overlooked and try to park so that the converter can not be easily reached by potential thieves.

Staffordshire Police have reported that on Tuesday 12th July at 9:00 a.m. at Churchill China on Marlborough Way, Sandyford that an unknown offender stole a green “Forme” mountain bike from the premises.

Caddick Construction have reported that the project on the new phase 2 development on James Brindley Way, Sandyford is progressing well and they are coming to the last 3 months of the project.
The Project Manager from Caddick has requested Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (SAGE) to update residents on the progress being made at the site.
- Internal fit out of all 5 units is progress which includes mechanical & electrical, partition walls, decoration and joinery works
- Wall cladding to all units is coming to an end in the next 3 weeks
- Windows and curtain walling ongoing install to the units1,3,5.
- Intumescent fire spraying of steelwork
- Firestopping to each unit
- External doors installation commenced on 11/07/22 and progressing to secure each unit
- External concrete service yards to commence in next couple of weeks
- New electrical High voltage cable works been progressed off site on James Brindley Way which will include traffic congestion on James Brindley Way
- Ongoing groundworks to external finishes, service trenching and drainage
