 Q-railing Headquarters, Sandyford Q-railing based in Sandyford has shown record profits as it’s U.K. revenue for the company hits 14 million pounds.
The German company which has relocated it’s U.K. Headquarters to Stoke on Trent is a shining example of how the city is on the up, and along with other companies moving to Sandyford on the Tunstall Arrow site is a sign that businesses are wanting to move to the area.

Network Space the company who developed the Tunstall Arrow site is now in the process of building the next stage of the project (Phase 2).

 Land for Sale (Goldenhill) Guide Price £5,000 The council is selling off nine pieces of land at auction, which should bring in less than £1000,000, and for just £5,000 you could buy a piece of land off Albany Street in Goldenhill.
Tom Simpson, Secretary of Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association said that he believes the council should be asking for more money as a guide price at the auction, adding that this would be a good opportunity for the City Council to cash in on getting further money to support a cash strapped council.
Mr Simpson did state that was the low guide price a starter to attract investors to buy the land, although this could back fire and someone will be getting a real bargain out of the purchase.
The residents association does support investment in both Goldenhill and Sandyford, and if the land could be put to good use to encourage business for jobs or even decent housing then this will always be good for the area.

 There will be a litter pick taking place with Councillor Chandra Kanneganti and Jonathan Gullis M.P. this Saturday (25th January) from 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. meeting outside Goldenhill Medical Centre.
 Afterwards Jonathan Gullis M.P. will be holding a surgery for residents to meet him between 12.30 p.m. to 2.30 p.m. at Goldenhill Medical Centre.

 Former Goldenhill Golf Course, Stoke on Trent Since it was reported that the former golf course at Goldenhill is not to return to it’s former use, due to the Birmingham based golf company withdrawing interest, it is now left to the council to come up with alternative leisure use for the site.
The council has asked Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (S.A.G.E.) to see if they can come up with any suitable leisure use at the location.
After S.A.G.E. recently met up at it’s last committee meeting, it believed the site would be more suited to use it as a camping and caravan site where tourists to Stoke on Trent could stay when visiting e.g. the Potteries, Trentham Gardens, Alton Towers or Jodrell Bank.
Goldenhill is renowned for it’s countryside views, where the site looks over to Newchapel and Mow Cop Castle, and if the holiday location went ahead then it would be a first for Stoke on Trent, and not forgetting the business it would bring to the city.
The residents association has also mentioned to the council that the location could also be used for outdoor activity pursuits, which would also offer alternative use for the land.
S.A.G.E. has been advised by the council that use for the former golf club site is due to be discussed in the New Year.

 Jonathan Gullis, New M.P. for Stoke on Trent North Jonathan Gullis will now be the new Member of Parliament for Stoke on Trent North after defeating Labour’s Ruth Smeeth who has represented the constituency since 2015.
The Stoke on Trent North Constituency was formed almost 70 year’s ago back in 1950, at which time it incorporated parts of the former Leek and Hanley seats.
Before yesterday’s General Election, Ruth Smeeth was the longest serving M.P. representing the Labour Party in the City of Stoke on Trent.
The results of yesterday’s election for Stoke on Trent North are as follows.
Jonathan Gullis (Conservative) 20,974 (52.26%, +7.00%)
Ruth Smeeth (Labour) 14,688 (36.60%, -14.31%)
Richard Watkin (Brexit) 2,374 (5.92%)
Peter Andras (Lberal Democrat) 1,268 (3.16%, +0.97%)
Alan Borgars (Green Party) 508 (1.27%, -0.37%)
Matt Dilworth (Independant) 322 (0.80%)
A Conservative Majority of 6,286 (15.66%)

Festive Wishes to all our Residents
 Goldenhill Working Mens Club has submitted a planning application to demolish the existing clubhouse to allow residential development, which will comprise 31 affordable housing units consisting of 21 two storey houses, 1 bungalow, and a 3 storey apartment block containing 9 apartments, together with a replacement clubhouse and all associated accesses, car parking, and landscaping.

 Yesterday, (Thursday 28th November) a large attendance of 160 residents and guests came to a meeting held by Sandyford & Goldenhill Residents Association (SAGE) at Goldenhill Community Centre.
The meeting proved to be lively and generally well behaved on the evening, especially when many issues between the parties to say the least were very controversial.

All candidates standing to be the next M.P. for Stoke on Trent North gave a good account of themselves, and residents and guests who attended the meeting gave good vibes in respect to the responses they received from candidates at the public meeting “hustings event”.
